In a census taken of Rowan County, North Carolina in the year 1790 ( A part of the first census taken in America ) The following is listed:

Isaac Anderson, Jr:        2 adult males,  4 sons under 16,    5 females

William Anderson:    3 adult males,  2 sons under 16,    3 females

Thomas Anderson:   1 adult male,    2 sons under 16,    2 females

      Isaac Anderson, Sr  is one of  three brothers that are believed to be the brothers that came from Scotland by the way of the Ulster district of Ireland.
    This belief was handed down generation by generation beginning with Thomas Anderson telling it to his son Joseph who in turn told it to his son Stanfield who in turn told it to his son William Porter Anderson who told it to his son Ollie Alexander Anderson who also told it to his son Burton L Anderson who told the story to his son Kenny Donald Anderson Sr. and also to his daughter Geraldine Anderson Whiting.
